Post-graduation Employment Criteria

•Must have studied full-time for the eight months preceding the completion of their program of studies and have graduated from a degree-granting institution
•Available only once
•Must have a valid study permit
•Must apply for a work permit within 90 days of receiving written confirmation
•Must include evidence of above with application.
–Final transcript;
–Letter from the institution;
–Formal notification of graduation;
Post-graduation Employment Duration
•Students will receive open work permit valid for up to three years (do not require a job offer from an employer) if the program of study is two years or more.
•If the program of study is less than two years but at least eight months , the student would be eligible for a work permit lasting for a period equal to the duration of their studies
Applying for Extensions

•Complete the Application  “Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada” at least 30 days before your current permit expires and submit to CPC- Vegreville •You can also apply on line to extend your Study Permit. or  apply for your Off Campus Work Permit. •Visit www.cic.gc.ca

•Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-Based test (TOEFL iBT)
•Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic
•Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) test (also known as Certificate in Advanced English).
